This collaboration includes the signing of two major service contracts that will see HStar launching missions from SCA’s cutting-edge facilities in Australia and the U.S., strengthening our global capabilities.
Milan, ITALY – A New Era in Space Collaboration Begins
Space Centre Australia (SCA) and HStar Space Transport have sealed two major strategic services contracts to propel the Artemis program and HStar’s ambitious commercial space missions into the future. These groundbreaking agreements will see HStar's heavy-class launch missions operate out of SCA's cutting-edge facilities in Cape York and North Queensland, Australia, as well as collaborative development projects at locations for Space Centre Australia’s Virginia, USA and for HStar in California.
A Bold Vision for 2030 and Beyond
The anchor tenancy agreement marks a monumental leap forward for both organizations, enabling SCA to provide premier land and state-of-the-art facilities to support HStar's multi-mission launches to Low Earth Orbit (LEO) and beyond. With a projected launch cadence of 10 missions per year by 2035, construction of these facilities will begin mid-2025 across key locations between Mareeba, North Queensland, and Cape York.
This agreement doesn’t just oUer infrastructure. It ensures full-service support, covering everything from securing Australian Launch Permits to handling airspace management, and overseeing environmental compliance with both the Queensland and Federal Governments.
Innovative Research for Tomorrow's Challenges
In a pioneering move, SCA and HStar have also signed a transformative teaming agreement under the Artemis Spaceport Research Program. This partnership will tackle some of the biggest challenges in spaceport operations and deep space missions, bringing together expertise from corporate partners, academia, and government agencies.
